MealPrepper

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

This policy explains what MealPrepper, operated by Antelope Enterprises, LLC, collects, why, and what you can do about it. Anyone can create a MealPrepper account; this policy applies to everyone who does.

What we collect

  • Account: the email address Google or Apple gives us when you sign in. If you sign in with Apple and choose “Hide My Email”, we only ever see Apple’s private relay address. We also record which version of our Terms and this policy you accepted, and when.
  • What you add: recipes (including photos you upload or take with your camera), meal-plan entries, grocery lists, pantry staples, categories, notes, and settings such as your shopping ZIP code, chosen stores, and assistant preferences.
  • Imports: recipe files you upload (including the photos inside them), and the recipe pages you ask the app to read from a web address.
  • Feedback you send from the Help page, including any screenshots you attach, with your email so we can reply.
  • Voice input: when you talk to the assistant, your device (using Apple’s speech recognition in the app) turns your speech into text. We only receive the text, never the audio.
  • Basic usage records to keep the app working and improve it: when you use the AI assistant (how many messages, which actions it took, and your most recent message) and recipe web addresses that failed to import.

Your data is private to your account. Other MealPrepper users can’t see it. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

Services that receive some of your data

  • Google and Apple: to sign you in. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
  • Anthropic: when you use the AI assistant, your message and the recipes, calendar, and grocery items it needs are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce a reply. Under Anthropic’s API terms this isn’t used to train their models.
  • Grocery deal providers: grocery item names and your ZIP code are sent to look up current deals at the stores you pick. Nothing that identifies you is sent.
  • A mapping service: only if you tap “Use my location”, your approximate coordinates are sent once to look up your ZIP code. We don’t store your location.
  • Recipe websites: when you import from a web address, the app fetches that page.

Kept on your device only

Your chat history with the assistant and some display preferences (like theme and text size) stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, your recipes and photos, meal plans, grocery lists, settings, and the other records listed above. Copies can remain in our routine backups for a short time until those backups expire. If you want a copy of your recipes first, export them from Settings → Data.

Otherwise we keep your data for as long as you have an account.

Security

Your recipes, lists, and settings are only available through your signed-in account, and everything is sent over encrypted connections. Recipe photos are served from private, hard-to-guess links. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Children

MealPrepper isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Questions or requests: admin@antelopeenterprises.com.
